Last year, we received our bronze award as part of the journey to become a Rights Respecting School. We were hoping to apply for our silver this year. However, due to current circumstances this will no longer be possible.
We would like the pupils of Sion Mills Primary School to retain the language and knowledge they have learned surrounding the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. This will enable them to interpret the world around them, and empower them express themselves.
To facilitate this, we will be uploading a PowerPoint to the Home Learning Area for each class. Please take time to look at this. Depending on the age of your child you may wish to simply discuss some of the points. Or, your child may wish to carry out some of the written activities provided - the choice is yours.
