  1. Focus your child's attention before listening e.g. Lucy .......Listen
  2. Reduce background noises and distractions where possible.....
  3. Use short simple sentences when speaking to your child.
  4. Check that the instruction given has been understood e.g. Ask the child to explain what He/She has to do.
