On our first day back we held a “Funeral of Sadness”. We named it that ourselves!
We all discussed as a class friendships and being kind. We identified many emotions and feelings we can experience in friendships, good and bad!
We talked about how sometimes our feelings can be hurt and how to deal with that. We also accepted that sometimes we can hurt others without realising.
Mrs McNamee gave us two sticky notes each; one to record a time when someone hurt us, and another to record a time when we hurt someone else. We closed our eyes and forgave those who hurt us, and forgave ourselves.
We put our sticky notes in a jug and we burned them!
Look at how we felt after! We recorded our feelings on the board. It was an emotional day!
