P3K and P3McS Trip to Armagh
As part of Science Week P3 pupils travelled to Armagh. We visited Armagh Robinson Library (the oldest library in NI) and No 5 Vicar's Hill, as well as the Music Hall. It was absolutely wonderful to find out about the history of the library and look at the old books and artefacts. We had opportunities to look at the beautiful buildings as we walked through the snow to our 3 different locations. To tie in with the theme of buildings we heard the story of "The Three Little Pigs" and then got to take on the role of the big bad wolf by doing some huffing and puffing and seeing which of our 3 house models were easiest to blow down. A brilliant day all round (despite the slow journey because of the snow) topped off by the wonderful behaviour and great interest shown by all the boys and girls.
