Mrs Ann Maguire has been nominated by one of last year’s parents for
Nursery Teacher of the Year in the Families First Awards.
“Families First Awards have been running for almost a decade, biannually in Belfast, and most recently, annually, in Donegal.” Through
the awards a spotlight is shone on those who have shown the ultimate
dedication to their work with families and children.
We are all very proud of Mrs Maguire and the work she does every day and are delighted that a
parent took an opportunity to put forward the nomination. Mrs Maguire has been the Nursery
teacher in Sion Mills Nursery since it opened for the very first time in January 1986. Some of you,
I know were pupils of hers yourselves.
The Awards event will be held in the Abbey Hotel, Donegal on Saturday 7th October. Prior to the
event members of the public will be asked to vote for the nominees.
